A Typical Day at Hopewood Health Retreat
The following information is intended only as a guide to a typical day at Hopewood Health Retreat and reflects the approximate session times and some of the activities available to all guests. Times and sessions do vary slightly from day to day.
If you feel like a snack throughout the day, herbal teas, fruit juice and fresh fruit is always available for 'in between' meal refreshments.
Feel free to add to the program to suit your personal needs. Why not treat yourself to an indulgent massage or beauty pamper?
Remember, at Hopewood Health Retreat you can do as much or as little as you please!
Please note: Day Visits begin at 9am and breakfast is available for residential guests only.
7.30 am Begin your day at Hopewood Health Retreat with a freshly squeezed fruit juice and join other guests for some stretching and an invigorating walk or some yoga.
8.30 am Smorgasbord Breakfast
9.40 am Join the Aqua Fitness Class in our heated outdoor pool (so don't forget to bring your swimming costume and the sunscreen!) while also enjoying the beautiful garden, the sunshine and the restful sound of bellbirds.
10.40 am Fitness class anyone? Be ready for a good workout here.
11.30 am - 12.30 pm Depending on the day, either join a Hopewood Naturopath for a healthy lifestyle talk. Learn the benefits associated with juice cleansing, food combining and eating for good health or join our fitness instructor for a workout.
12.30 pm Smorgasbord Lunch
2.00 pm - 3.00 pm Join us for an early afternoon activity. Perhaps yoga, a fitness talk,a bushwalk or a sightseeing outing.
3.30 pm - 4.30 pm Meet in the fitness room for an exercise class or yoga or relaxacise. It might be a low impact resistance training and stretch class, a cardio circuit or a yoga stretching and body awareness class. There is always something different!
4.45 pm Enjoy a hot vegetable soup in the Dining Room.
5.15 pm - 6.15 pm Participate in a workshop on Stress Management or join a fun Dance for Health Class or Salsa class in the Fitness Room or maybe watch a video on healthy weight management.
6.30 pm Smorgasbord Dinner
7.30 pm - 8.30 pm Join us for a workshop on aromatherapy, self-help, reflexology, learn to meditate, do yoga or practice the art of Tai Chi.
8.40 pm Enjoy our popular in-house movies (continuous screening on 2 channels), relax with a book or puzzle in front of the open fire, play the piano, or contest other guests to a board game in the library.
